WSJ JEWISH JOURNALIST EVAN GERSHKOVICH HAS BEEN RELEASED

Great news! According to numerous news sources Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich and former marine Paul Whelan have been released in a prisoner swap. Gershkovich and Whelan had been imprisoned I’m Russia based on spying charges.
​In what has been described as a massive ​prisoner ​swap with Russia, up to 30 people held by Russia, including jailed Jewish American journalist Evan Gershkovich​, Jewish dissident Vladimir Kara-Murza,​ and American former marine, Paul Whelan is reportedly in progress. They are expected to arrive in New York tomorrow.
​In March of 2023, Gershkovich, a Wall Street Journal reporter, was arrested on espionage charges and sentenced to 16 years in a maximum-security prison, charges he, his employer, WSJ, and the U.S. government deny.
